About this case study

HDFC Bank was one of the pioneering banks in the pricing and billing space. While billing in banking was in its infancy, HDFC devised a home grown system for its charging requirements. However, as the volumes of the Bank’s Retail portfolio grew, it was clear further pricing and billing innovations were needed. Hampered by a slow time-to-market for new products, the existing system could not meet the requirements of scale and speed.
